Secondary tree
Your secondary upgrade points unlock either
the
Basic Shield or the
Basic Bow, then advance that choice through
3 tiers. You start without a secondary item, and your choice lasts until
respawn resets your upgrades.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”Each selection spends 1 secondary point. Weapon and structure points cannot pay for this tree. You must take each upgrade in order and meet its level requirement, even with saved points. Choosing an item costs no resources, including when you choose a bow.
You carry a melee weapon and secondary together, but you must equip the secondary to block or shoot. Upgrading replaces its previous tier; if that secondary is equipped, the replacement enters your hand immediately. Choosing your starting secondary leaves your held item selected.

Taking a shield closes the bow line for that life, and taking a bow closes the shield line. Later selections offer the next item in your chosen line.
Shields
Section titled “Shields”These reductions apply when an attack hits your equipped shield. A reflected melee hit damages the attacker instead of you. Shields cannot reflect arrows.
| Shield | Melee damage reduction | Projectile damage reduction | Melee reflection chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 40% | 65% | 0% | |
| 55% | 80% | 8% | |
| 70% | 95% | 12% |
Each arrow costs resources when you shoot, so misses still cost resources. Higher bow tiers raise
arrow damage and shot costs.
Bow fires faster than Basic Bow;
the
Great Bow keeps Bow’s fire rate.
| Bow | Base player damage per arrow | Shots per second | Cost per arrow |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | 1.5 | ||
| 8 | 2 | ||
| 12 | 2 |
- Holding either secondary leaves you at 70 % of normal speed,
against 100 % with the
Stick. Carrying the
secondary without holding it does not slow you. - If you cannot pay the full shot cost, the bow does not fire. Keep your melee weapon available when your resources run low.
