Great Axe
The final axe bought with a weapon point replaces the
Axe and increases
base damage to players, zombies, structures and resources. You can earn the
Dark Axe
reward by defeating the
Reaper.
Mechanics
Section titled “Mechanics”Misses still count toward the bonus swing. Switching items keeps your progress toward it; upgrading to another axe starts a fresh count. A swing can hit overlapping enemies without dividing its damage.
An ordinary tree hit gives
33.3 wood.
A bonus hit gives
66.7 wood. Stones and gold
mines give stone or gold in the same amounts. A nearly depleted resource can give less on the final hit.
Comparison
Section titled “Comparison”| Item | Base player damage | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| 6.67 | Lv 7from | |
| 13.33 | Lv 9from | |
| 20.00 | Reaper kill while alive, with |
Base damage per hit against players.
These axe tiers share the same attack rate, movement speed while held and bonus-swing special.
Unlocking
Section titled “Unlocking”Use the weapon point earned at level 9 to replace Axe in the weapon tree. You must have chosen Axe first; the upgrade does not cost resources.
To obtain Dark Axe, get credit for killing the Reaper while alive with Great Axe in your inventory. It does not need to be equipped, and kills by your projectiles or turrets also qualify. Assisting with earlier damage does not grant the weapon.
