Stone Spike
This upgrade to the
Wooden Spike increases health and contact damage while
keeping the same attack rate.
Mechanics
Section titled “Mechanics”A spike damages nearby enemy players,
zombies and structures,
except the
Landmine. It pushes characters away after a hit. It cannot damage
the
Reaper.
Spikes spare you, members of your group, and your structures and theirs,
except
TNT. A shield that touches the spike reduces
the push without reducing its damage. Players with
Spawn protection take no
damage or knockback.
All spike tiers share a placement limit. Placed spikes stay after death and respawn and still count toward that limit. Destruction frees a place, and leaving the server removes your spikes. Upgrading changes future placements without converting spikes already placed.
Comparison
Section titled “Comparison”| Structure | Health | Cost | Limit | Base destroy reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 120 | 16 | |||
| 200 | 16 | |||
| 300 | 16 |
Base contact damage per hit rises from 3 on Wooden Spike to 5 on Stone Spike and 8 on Reinforced Stone Spike. Every tier attacks 2 times per second. Reinforced Stone Spike also adds gold to the placement cost.
The listed destruction rewards apply while you are alive and do not apply to your own spikes. A projectile finishing blow grants 50 % of those resources and experience.
Unlocking
Section titled “Unlocking”After choosing Wooden Spike, spend 1 structure point from level 6 in the spike branch of the structure trees. The choice replaces Wooden Spike in your inventory; resources are charged when you place a spike. Reinforced Stone Spike requires level 10 or higher and 1 more structure point from your upgrade points.
Switch to the
Stick between placements if it remains in your inventory.
Without other speed effects, the Stick leaves you at 100 % of
normal speed, against 50 % of normal speed holding the spike build
item.
