Farming resources
Use resource hits for building materials and miners for gold while you gather.
Gathering
Section titled “Gathering”Hit trees and stones for wood and stone, or hit gold mines for gold. You receive resources on each hit, so you can leave as soon as you have enough for a build without finishing the resource.
The
Basic Axe is a weapon upgrade available from level 2 and
gathers more per hit than the other early weapons. The table shows wood from regular hits; the same
amounts apply to stone and gold. A nearly depleted resource can give less on its final hit.
| Weapon | Wood per hit |
|---|---|
The Basic Axe deals 2 times its usual damage every 3 swings, including resource hits. Missed swings still count. Use Auto attack (E by default) to keep swinging while you gather. See axes for later gathering upgrades.
Miners
Section titled “Miners”Place
Wooden Miners to earn gold while gathering. Each
miner pays its builder, and you do not need to stand beside it. They produce without a gold mine.
Placing a miner near either gold mine variant adds 50% to its
production. It keeps this bonus after the mine is depleted.

You can have up to 12 miners at a time across all tiers under the building limits. Spend structure upgrade points to select the next miner tier. This changes what you can place; miners already built keep their tier. At the limit, remove an older miner before placing its replacement. Hold Damage own structures (Shift by default) while hitting it. Removing your own miner returns no resources. See miners for their placement rules.
Other rewards
Section titled “Other rewards”Open gifts you pass while gathering. A resource reward gives wood, stone and gold together, but gifts can also give other rewards.
You can also earn gold by defeating
zombies and recover
resources by destroying enemy structures. See resources for reward
rules and other ways to earn and spend resources.
Death keeps 30% of each resource, with a respawn
minimum of
300 gold,
300 wood,
300 stone. Your structures survive your death. Miners stop
producing while you are dead and resume when you respawn, without paying back the missed gold.
