Sword
Upgrading from the
Basic Sword raises damage without changing your reach,
attack speed, or the sword line’s kill-repeat special.
Mechanics
Section titled “Mechanics”Killing an enemy or breaking a resource, gift box, or enemy structure immediately repeats the attack against the targets caught by that swing. Further kills or breaks can trigger more repeats. Repeats do not add another attack animation or reach targets outside the original swing.
Keep wounded enemies within the same swing as healthier targets to hit the survivors again when a target dies.
Comparison
Section titled “Comparison”These sword tiers share the same reach, attack rate, movement speed, and special. Each upgrade increases base damage per hit.
| Weapon | Player damage | Zombie damage | Structure damage | Resource damage | Unlock level |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 12.5 | 2.5 | 2.5 | 2 | |
| 7.5 | 17.5 | 5 | 5 | 7 | |
| 12.5 | 22.5 | 10 | 10 | 9 |
Unlocking
Section titled “Unlocking”Spend the weapon point earned at level 7 in the
weapon tree to replace your Basic Sword at no resource cost. The
next weapon point arrives at level 9 and can replace this item
with the
Great Sword. See upgrade points for the
schedule.
