Servers
Use Servers on the spawn screen to choose where you play and check how many people are connected. Up to 40 connected players can join a server.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”Server list
Section titled “Server list”The Servers panel lists each server as a card with its name and address. Europe 1 is the only server in the list. The card for the server you are on is highlighted and displays the connected population against the capacity, and it adds a Connected badge while you are connected. Other cards show only their name and address.
The population includes you before you spawn, along with people spectating after death.
Once connected, the card shows an unknown count against the 40-player capacity until the population arrives. Connecting… means the connection is still being established; Offline means it is no longer connected. A full server prevents you from joining and displays the message “Server is full”. The start button stays disabled while you are disconnected. Use Reconnect on the Disconnected screen to try joining again.
Switching servers
Section titled “Switching servers”Select another server’s card on the spawn screen to play there. The panel closes and the game connects to the chosen server. Servers is disabled in the main menu opened during a life, so you can switch only between lives. Switching counts as leaving your old server.
Server addresses
Section titled “Server addresses”While the game is open, the page address ends with a short code for your server, such as
https://nightz.io/#eu1. Opening an address with another server’s code connects you to that
server. If the code matches no server in the list, opening the page puts you on the first server,
and changing the code while the page is open keeps you where you are.
Group invite links also carry the server’s code, so opening one takes you to the group’s server.
Leaving a server
Section titled “Leaving a server”Leaving, switching servers or losing your connection removes your character and structures and takes you out of your group. Reconnecting, even to the same server, returns you to the spawn screen. Starting again gives you a fresh character with starter equipment and resources. Resources or experience saved for respawn are also lost when you disconnect.
- Share your page address or a group invite link so friends join the same server. The highlighted card and its Connected badge show which server you are on.
- Stay connected after a death to keep your surviving structures and retained resources and experience for respawning.
